DHAKA - BANGLADES

BUILT UP AREA: 60,000 SQ. FEET
SITE AREA: 70 ACRES

The project was located in Ducca, Bangladesh. The design program consisted of training halls and conferencing facilities, hostel for the participants, housing for the permanent staff and trainers. Though the average rainfall is very high in Dacca, the proposal to construct the entire campus with eco friendly materials was very strong. The soil at the site was also suitable for the purpose. In the scope of work, it was not only design and help built but also train and familiarise the local craftsman, engineers and architects with this technology. The construction cost was approximately 36 % less than conventional construction not to forget the additional benefit of insulation and eco friendly construction. The construction was with on site casted sun dried bricks, mud mortar, mud plaster and filler slab.
